Call A Ride of Southlake, Inc. (CARS) provides service for senior citizens and disabled adults in Southlake for medical purposes within a 25-mile radius of Southlake and a 7-mile radius for medical, dental, and social, business, and personal needs. Services are provided by volunteers who supply their own vehicle, time, and gas.
CARS was founded in 2000 to promote and maintain a means for Southlake’s senior citizens (55+) and adults with disabilities to have increased independence and maintain their physical and mental well-being. CARS has joined Southlake Safe practices to ensure the health and well-being of our drivers and our riders.

The Hurst Senior Activities Center is a 27,500-square-foot state-of-the-art facility that offers a wide variety of programs for persons age 55+. The facility features a 2,500-square-foot fitness room complete with elliptical machines, treadmills, and a circuit series. Other spaces include a cafe, game room, billiards room, computer resource center, two studio rooms, a library, and three classrooms. Additionally, the Senior Center has a multipurpose room that hosts a large, wood dance floor and seating for over 300 guests.

STS Social Transportation for seniors is a nonprofit organization providing rides for seniors 62 and older to social venues in the North Richland Hills area. Residents, ages 62 or better, are provided free rides for shopping, personal grooming, social activities, and other non-medical-related activities. Participants are transported to locations within a 7-mile radius of the intersection of Mid-Cities Blvd and Davis Blvd in North Richland Hills.

The REC in Grapevine is a great place for active adults 55+ from Grapevine and the surrounding areas to participate in a variety of activities and special events.
Seniors have a place where they can come together for fun activities, daily lunches, field trips, free computer classes, and special events. They also provide transportation for Grapevine residents to and from the Senior Center, and around town to places like doctor and dentist appointments, the post office, the bank, or the grocery store.
