Proton therapy is a specialized form of radiation therapy that has been used to treat cancer patients for several decades.
However, the last 10 years have seen significant improvements, utilization and growth in this therapeutic technology.
This presentation will discuss the physical properties of protons and how it differs from more conventional x-ray therapy.
We will also discuss its role in treating cancer and how it may improve outcomes while decreasing side effects.
